Havin' fun with Balloons at Nate and Deb's House

Deb runs a preschool in Jackson and so she had SOOOO much cool, fun stuff for the kids to play with...including these balloons. The kids were floating on a cloud and never wanted to leave!

Scott and the kids Huckleberry picking...

Tree Stars

Riv and Fox picked "tree stars" in the forest

Fox and Steph

What a dreamy day...I love that my little guy still loves to cuddle with his mom!

HUCKLEBERRIES!!!

This was the name of the game on this trip and this ziploc bag of huckleberries was the combined effort of about 8 people picking for about 3 hours! MAN, was that cobbler just incredible, though!!!

Sage, Asher, and Riv Huckleberry Hunting

Scott was amazing...I think he picked 80% of our huckleberries. This was truly a LABOR OF LOVE. To pick a small handful took about a half an hour and it was VERY DIFFICULT to NOT pop the tasty little morsels right into your mouth! We were trying to pick enough for a huckleberry cobbler...

Fox and Mom hunting for huckleberries...

Fox and his frog buddy

Frog catching is the #1 activity for all the kids

Riv was in Heaven

She made up games for all the "little kids," discovered secret beaches, spearheaded canoe lunches and tours...she was amazing...

Breakfast with my Foxy boy...

Can I just live here permanently?

We could make it work...homeschool the kids, life off huckleberries and fish...read all day while the kids play and make up games on the beach...

The Girls!

Deb, Wendy, Steph, and Jessica...yes, Deb is 8 and a half months pregnant. She is hardcore, what can I say?

Leigh Lake Canoe Trip

Dreamy, Dreamy Family Fun. Life in a canoe is best!

And, the other side~

Fox wanted me to post this!

He LOVED the snake painted going in one ear and out the other!

Knight in shining...HELMET?

Fox found this at Dollar Tree and wore it for three days straight...including to Riv's soccer game. Yes, we got plenty of strange looks. It also chafed the front of his chin right off...and he didn't care a bit!

Packing up on Labor Day

Even though it was rainy and cold, it was a great ending to our wonderful Leigh Lake Canoe trip weekend!

Goodbye Kayak!

This was Scott's last day with his Glide...there was a sale at Rendevous River Sports on the way back into town and Scott decided it was time to upgrade to a smaller boat....does that mean there's a trip to the patagonia outlet in the near future for Steph???
